Smugglers Adventure in Hastings has been awarded a prestigious ‘Certificate of Excellence’ by the online travel website TripAdvisor for the third time.
The award puts the popular West Hill caves’ attraction among the top 10 per cent of all businesses reviewed by TripAdvisor worldwide.
To qualify for the Certificate of Excellence, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travellers on TripAdvisor. Additional criteria include the volume of reviews received within the last 12 months.
“We are extremely pleased to have received this award again for the third time in the past four years.
“This type of recognition from an influential organisation which bases its marking system entirely from the feedback of visitors is hugely significant,” said manager Chrissie Daniels.
“Travel reviews are a really useful way to monitor how well you are doing as an attraction and we certainly take all comments; negative and positive extremely seriously.
“This certificate takes into account reviews over a period of time and therefore provides a more accurate picture of an attractions visitor feedback.
“Getting the award is a great boost but we continue to look at new ways to improve, expand and develop our visitor experience,” she added.
