Smugglers Adventure was transformed into a horrifying scene from the ‘Walking Dead’ as part of its Halloween celebrations.
The West Hill attraction hosted a terrifying ‘Zombie Apocalypse Halloween Fright Night’ event at the weekend.
Staff and volunteers took on the role of a marauding horde of the undead which had been let loose in the cave system.
Plucky guests were then led into the centre of the caves and challenged to navigate their way through the near-dark passages and tunnels to get back to the entrance and avoid joining the zombie ranks.
“We had been looking at hosting this type of event for some time now and we were confident it would prove popular,” said Smugglers Adventure’s Leanna Lawson.
“However even we were a little taken aback by how realistic and frightening it really was! The feedback we got from visitors was incredible and we are now looking at expanding this event significantly for next year.
“The staff and volunteers who took on the roles of zombies were absolutely amazing and I would like to thank them all for their enthusiasm and hard work – they also looked terrifying!” she added.
The Zombie Apocalypse was one of the final events to take place at Smugglers Adventure this year. It will close for the season on Sunday, November 5th and re-open for February half term next year.
