Petting Zoo and Teddy Bear’s Picnic at Hastings Castle
A host of farmyard friends will be descending on Hastings Castle as part of the ultimate family fun day on Saturday August 12th.
The event, which takes place from 10am until 4pm, will include a petting zoo, teddy bear’s picnic, arts, crafts and fun and games.
The mobile mini farm from The Reindeer Centre will give guests the chance to get up close and personal with goats, lambs, ducklings and rabbits.
Joining them will be Animal Magic Petting Zoo who are bringing along meerkats, a chinchilla, a beautiful owl and other cute and furry creatures.
As part of the fun, children are encouraged to bring their favourite teddy bear and reading book to enjoy story time with the friendly Deep Dark Wood Monster, who will then be available for a meet and greet and photo opportunities.
Parents are invited to bring a picnic and blanket and can look forward to ice cream from local Di Paolo Café which will be available to purchase.
There will also be games, competitions, free face painting, pinatas and arts and crafts.
Sales and Marketing Executive, Leanna Lawson, said: “We are extremely excited to be hosting yet another fantastic event this year following on from the success of Dragon Day in May and the Easter Egg Hunt in April.
“These events are the perfect place to bring the local community and families together and provide them with things to do in the summer holidays.
“We are also pleased to announce there is no extra charge to attend the event as it is included in the standard admission price which can be found on the Castle’s website.”
Please note guests are warned the event will be rescheduled in the event of bad weather, in this case updates will be posted on the Castle’s website and social media pages. There is a maximum capacity of guests at the Castle so arrive early to avoid disappointment. No alcohol or dogs permitted and food will not be sold on the day so please bring your own.
