A huge Tyrannosaurus Rex is set to descend on Hastings Castle on the Monday May 28th as part of a family fun day.
Guests to the West Hill attraction will be able to get up close and personal with the beast, known as Pete, between 10am and 3pm.
Alongside Pete, children can get involved with an interactive archology experience with Dr Digby Rocks from Hysterical History also between 10am and 3pm.
Adding to the fun, there will be three immersive adventures full of magic, monsters and mystery led by local performance company, The World of Legend.
The hour long performances will take place at 10am, 12.30pm and 2pm.
The impressive four metre animatronic dinosaur will also be bringing a selection of baby dinos – Rita, Bob and Alan.
The dino crèche features Alan the lazy Velociraptor, Bob the new-born Triceratops and Rita the baby T Rex.
Pete will be walking around the attraction in twenty minute time slots and will be available for photos with visitors throughout the event.
There will be face painting available by Fantasy Face Painting for £2.50 a face between 10am and 3pm as well as a raffle, pinatas, dinosaur trail all included in the family fun.
The team from Discovery Playground in the Old Town will also be on hand for dinosaur themed activities.

“We can’t wait to see the children’s reactions when they come face to face with a T Rex!
“The event is going to be a lot of fun for families with lots of interactive elements.”
The event will be included in the Castle’s normal entrance price. In the event of poor weather the event may be cancelled and updates will be on the attraction’s Facebook page. There is a maximum capacity at the Castle so guests are advised to get to the event with plenty of time to avoid disappointment. The Castle is currently cash only.
