Visitors to Smugglers Adventure will be able to get involved with a hands on World War 2 history lesson on Saturday August 4th.
The team at Smugglers Adventure are inviting guests to travel back in time and learn about all things WW2 with the help of Russell from Hysterical History.
Russell will be educating guests in the Chapel with a World War 2 interactive experience and children will be able to take part in the workshops between the hours of 10am and 4pm.
Guests can also enjoy the full Smugglers Adventure underground cave experience and the event is included in the standard admission cost.
Children will have the opportunity to learn what to do in an air-raid, the skills to look for unexploded bombs and even the opportunity to defuse one. There will also be a war-themed trail for visitors to take part in.
Smugglers Adventure Sales and Marketing Executive, Rachel Fiveash, said: “St Clements caves was used as an air-raid shelter during World War 2, and so it is a perfect immersive setting for an event of this kind.”
“Russell has a passion for teaching history in a way children want to learn. He travels to schools and events around the country inspiring and educating children, so we are very excited to welcome him back to the caves.” she added.
