PIRATE FUN AT SMUGGLERS ADVENTURE TO CELEBRATE NEW FILM
Smugglers Adventure will be awash with pirate activities this May half term to mark the release of a new blockbuster film.
To celebrate the latest instalment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Salazar’s Revenge, which hits cinemas on Thursday May 25th, the West Hill tourist attraction is organising a host of pirate-themed events.
On Saturday May 27th Commander Blunt from Hysterical History will be inviting children to take part in an interactive hands-on educational session in the chapel from 10am until 4pm.
Commander Blunt will be explaining what life is like living on a pirate ship, teaching guests how to spot treasure as well as cannon operators training.
Throughout half term, which runs from Saturday May 27th until Sunday June 4th, children can complete a pirate trail and enjoy pirate activities in the underground cave attraction.
Sales and marketing executive Leanna Lawson said: “We had Russell from Hysterical History help us with a VE Day event recently and his style of educating was hugely popular.
“We hope to see lots of children getting involved and welcome visitors to dress up as pirates too.
“We would also like to give our thanks to the team at Odeon Cinema in Hastings town centre who have given us a lovely giant poster of the new film, which is sure to be a hit with movie-goers.”
Deep in the heart of Hastings West Hill lies the Smugglers Adventure, acres of caverns that conceal the thrilling history of smugglers, bootleggers and warring bloodthirsty gangs.
Explore the labyrinth of secret tunnels and passages and discover the dangers and hardships that faced the Sussex smugglers of the eighteenth century.
More than 70 life-size characters, interactive displays, eerie lighting and sound effects and dramatic recreations bring this mysterious and often bloody world vividly to life.
