Visitors to Smugglers Adventure will be treated to an interactive history lesson on Saturday May 6th to commemorate VE Day.
To mark Victory in Europe Day On May 8th, the team at the West Hill attraction have enlisted the help of Russell from “Hysterical History” who will be entertaining guests in the Chapel with a World War 2 interactive experience.
Children will be able to take part in the workshops between the hours of 10am and 4pm, as well as have the full Smugglers Adventure experience all included in the standard admission cost.
Guests will have the opportunity to travel back in time and learn what to do in an air-raid, the skills to look for unexploded bombs and even the opportunity to defuse one.
Smugglers Adventure sales and marketing executive, Leanna Lawson, said: “St Clements caves was used as an air-raid shelter during World War two, and so it is a perfect immersive setting for an event of this kind.”
“Russell has a passion for teaching history in a way children want to learn. He travels to schools and events around the country inspiring and educating children, so we are very excited for his visit.” she added.
